The One Who Knows

I am not by nature a sentimental person. I would generally rather shave my eyeballs than talk about my feelings. I am a quiet, self-contained person, I try not to emote, and I truly believe one should never, ever make a spectacle. Continue reading “The One Who Knows”

Hooray, Hooray, It’s the First of May!

If summer has to come, with its blazing heat and blasts of air that feel like you opened the oven door, then we may as well celebrate with Beltane, yes? We’ve all heard the silly chant, “Hooray, hooray, it’s the First of May! Outdoor fucking begins today!” But maybe not as many people know where that originated. The thing with the hotel cube, too, is that the computer was really slow. Like, not a whole lot faster than mine that died. So I was supernaturally bored, and had a lot of time to daydream. It isn’t always safe for me to daydream. Strange things happen. Like this. Continue reading “The New Person at Work”

The Astronaut Wives Club

What can I say? Who doesn’t love learning about astronauts, even if it’s in a behind the scenes kind of way? It’s awesome to think that the processor in my phone is more powerful than the computer that landed men on the moon. Learning about the trials and tribulations the first men in space faced is fascinating. It’s too bad this book doesn’t discuss anything of the sort. Continue reading “The Astronaut Wives Club”
